Setting Up and Sending Your First Message

For businesses in the USA and Canada, setting up and sending your first message via Inbox is straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Business App: Navigate to Inbox Messages.
  2. Compose Your Message: Click "New Message", type in the customer's phone number, and draft your message.
  3. Send and Monitor: Send your message and monitor responses directly from Inbox.

Note: US businesses need to register their business before sending messages, which might take a few weeks. After registration, you'll be notified and can start messaging.

    • When messages are sent from Inbox, contacts are automatically created in Business App. You can also manually add or bulk import contacts.
  • What are the messaging limits?

    • With Inbox , send unlimited one-on-one SMS messages to customers. However, carrier limitations apply (e.g., 2,000 SMS segments per day for T-Mobile).
  • What phone number is used for sending messages?

    • A unique SMS number based on your business's address is assigned for message sending. Note that this number currently cannot receive calls.
